Structured, powerfully-coloured Rosé made in the south-west of France from Malbec, this is a beautiful Rosé that has flavours of plum, cherry and redcurrant with bright lemon-fresh acidity. Dry and supported, this is a food-ready rosé that is a broader version than the south of France usually offers!

Until recently, the winery was a vineyard that belonged to the co-operative in Cahors, south of Bordeaux, famous for it's Malbec wines. Then in 1998 the Ilbert family left and set up on their own. The second generation now runs it with a nod to tradition and to diversity - the tradition of good winemaking and the diverse move from the hum-drum predictability of their life in the co-op. This has brought excellent winemaking with generous fruit, not too much oak and charming ease of drinking with excellent, engaging packaging. Nice story and really easy to get behind!

Since their joining in 2003, Julien and his wife Sophie, have turned all of their vineyards into organically certified production, which, in addition to the expanding of their range of offering (the region is really only know for reds made from Malbec) is a great sign for the future of the region as well as their own winery. They have a hectare of Vermentino vines in addition to their 22 of Malbec, which makes for a Mediterranean twist on this Atlantic region.

The name of the wine translates as "Secret Formula - The amazing antidote to the causes of heat". See?! They're cool people!
