Absolutely delightful, it is full of red berry fruits, a touch of citrus acidity and a long finish evoking strawberries and cream. It even has a herbaceous note of rosemary on the finish. It's a Rosé for wine-lovers of all kinds because of its freshness, excellent textural makeup and the complexity of the really delicious red fruits.

Find a non-rosé drinker and convert them!

If you want more conviction, one way to approach this is that it seems to feel like the rosé version of Grüner Veltliner... not in flavour, but in texture - the food matching ability (almost the need for food!) is really evident. Mouthwatering, but not in an aggressive way, this is perfect for lunch (we had Salad Niçoise, if you please) and it would certainly stand up to barbecued meats and grilled vegetables.

PLUS, at only 12.5% alcohol it won't punish you either - really, this is a wine for all.

Made from a selection of both old and young vines, this blend of Blaufränkisch, Zweigelt and Cabernet Franc has some of the expected structure of these grapes, but also the acidity and freshness they possess.

Dorli Muhr makes delicious wines. Based in vineyards on the Spitzerberg mountain in Carnuntum, in the far east of the country, she is a really successful Austrian winemaker in both red and white disciplines, unusually making more reds than whites. Most of the reds are either wholly, or in the majority, focused on Blaufrankisch. Varying from vineyard to vineyard in stylistic character, there is a wonderful Burgundian-like balance to them that invites investigation by the drinker as well as simple, happy enjoyment! These are wines that are all organic, too, and seem to be able to be fully expressive at lower alcohol levels. You can tell that we're fans.
