"Made from the top selection of Zillinger's best limestone terroir. It was matured in large wooden barrels, aged for one year without agitation on the full lees and bottled unfiltered. This intensely lemon colored Veltliner opens with a concentrated but fine, elegantly fruity and flinty bouquet that has grass and earthy notes and is as fine and pure as it is deep and multi-layered. Lush, refined and mouthfilling on the palate, this is a concentrated, juicy, round and quite hedonistic Veltliner with remarkable finesse and intensity but also this lovely playful character. These superb Grüner Veltliners are made by one of the bright lights of Austria's modern wine movement. This allows them to have exceptionally high quality fruit in the winery that yields a dazzling array of wines. This one is simply phenomenal.
