Mandrarossa Nero d'Avola 'Costadune'
Lush, soft, dark and mouth-coating... sure, what could go wring?
As it happens, nothing at all, and quite a lot goes right as well. This is proof, as if it were needed, that value in Sicily is not too hard to find.
This is made from one of Sicily's signature varieties, Nero (black grape) d'Avola (from the town of Avola, to the south of the island).
Blackberry and blackcurrant flavours with a hint of natural spices and a dry but fruit-filled finish, this is a balanced glass of sunshine that is excellent with or without grilled meat, cheeses and casseroles.
