This is made from one of Sicily's signature varieties, Nero (black grape) d'Avola (from the town of Avola, to the south of the island).
Blackberry and blackcurrant flavours with a hint of natural spices and a dry but fruit-filled finish, this is a balanced glass of sunshine that is excellent with or without grilled meat, cheeses and casseroles.
