Try January Case - 6 bottles

Don't be hard on yourself - the chances are you didn't overdo it at Christmas: you're just tired from the lead-up to it. Have a look at these fresh, vibrant and rewarding white wines, paired with three warming, smooth and complex reds. All dry. All delicious.

You'll get one of each of the following:

  1. Von Winning, WinWin Riesling. Again? I hear you cry...? Well, yes. It;s really that good. Please, this is the year to convert to Rieslings and I really believe that this is the prophet to do it. Lip-smackingly delicious, it is good on its own and amazing with pork, poultry, shellfish, salads, risotto, charcuterie, pizza, popcorn, Mars Bars and breakfast... well, you know what I mean.
  2. Colle Stefano, Organic Verdicchio di Matelica. According to J Suckling Esq., this is one of the best value Italian wines. Ever. Made. It is fresh, complex and dry, dry, dry. Utterly delicious with distinctly lemony notes.
  3. Menade, Organic Rueda. Another re-appearance for this stunner that is totally justified because it is, er, stunning. Amazing freshness and crisp, apple-focused fruit, with greengage and citrus acidity.
  4. Domaine Santa Duc, Cotes du Rhone, Vielle Vignes. Just to prove that the Rhone isn't all about Chateauneuf-style monsters, try this! It's juicy, fresh and made in the way that the Rhone became famous. It's digestible and really, really easy to drink. Organic too, if that helps.
  5. Protos, Ribera del Duero, Crianza. This is a plush, svelte and full-bodied wine that is an absolutely brilliant example of what you can get from this (rather infamously) expensive region. Damson, blackberry and spice and lots more to boot.
  6. Vigneti del Salento, Salice Salentino. Well, it has a funny dumpy bottle, but that's where the dubiety ends. This is delicious red from the south if Italy and one of the most celebrated subzones that it possesses. Bramble fruits and spice with a gorgeous soft, smooth texture. One of our chums had this for Christmas dinner... and still want more in January.

Delicious and interesting range of wines delivered promptly to my door. Not far off that lovely feeling of coming back laden from a good wine store but without any of the traffic or the worry of breaking the wine en route (very impressive travel wrap).
