Made by Borja Valero, who has become one of the most important wine makers in the region, this is a wine that is made for a very special Allotment friend, Celbridge native Fergal Tynan (who is probably Kildare's only Master of Wine). He runs a wholesale company that has active winemaking interests all over the world. This is a particularly lovely project - de Alto Amo literally meaning "High Master" - or "High Love" - and is a reference to the search for the highest quality and highest altitude vineyard sites that the winery can access.

Delicious, bright, summer red fruits with a kick of blackberry to boot. This is the very essence of what good, authentic Tempranillo from Rioja should taste like. Very much a style-in-demand, this is such a versatile crowd-pleaser that it will definitely become a house favourite: you'd really be very hard pressed to find better value and quality at this price, we promise.
