Costs and Packaging

You'll get free delivery when you spend €140 or more online from The Allotment.

We deliver your wine using a range of delivery companies. These have been selected to perform the task of carrying the wines ordered by you, as our customer, to the place or address of your choosing in a safe and professional manner so as not to damage the packaging or goods inside, beyond reasonable expectation and use.

We pack the wines in appropriate industry-standard packaging that should allow for the safe transit of wines.

Wine delivery times

Our hours for processing orders are between 9am - 6pm Monday to Friday.

We pack your online wine order along the following timelines:

Wine orders for delivery in Dublin, received before 12pm on weekdays are prepared so that delivery should be expected within 1-2 working days.

Wine orders for nationwide delivery, received by 12pm on weekdays are prepared so that delivery should be expected 2-3 working days later.

It is our concerted aim to adhere to these timelines and to affect delivery to you in accordance with the same.

Should it be the case that your online wine order is delivered outside of these timelines, and if there have been demonstrable defects in the execution of your delivery, you have the right to appeal for a refund on any wine delivery charge that may have been incurred.

During busy periods, we ask that you allow for flexibility in fulfillment in deliveries.

If you are ordering for delivery outside of Ireland, please be aware that we have no direct control over the contracting of service providers once the package leaves the country, but will attempt to liaise with the partner selected on your behalf.

If you order for delivery outside of the EU, you must be aware that you are liable for any and all VAT, duties and any other taxes that may be applicable to wine/alcohol/goods shipped to your selected destination. We regretfully cannot guarantee the safe, regular, uninterrupted delivery of goods outside the EU. We cannot confirm the taxes for each destination outside the EU and strongly advise that you contact the relevant authority to seek guidance on your shipment before placing any order.
