Villa Wolf Dry, Riesling, 375ml Half Bottle

€999

Gorgeous Riesling in only a half bottle format? Who could ask for more?!

This is bright, juicy, crisp and classic Riesling from the best region for dry Riesling in Germany, Pfalz, that is wonderful with or without food. It's full of fresh-picked green apple, citrus and notes of sherbet with white peach and blossom. Dry as a bone, complex and mouthwatering it is a delicious member of our half-bottle range.

The ability of Riesling to express its origin and the unique soil in which it grows is one of the reasons it is Germany's most beloved white grape variety. Made in Wachenheim in the northern part of Rheinland Pfalz, the winery of Villa Wolf is almost 250 years old and was bought by Ernst Loosen in 1996.

Produced by the historic J.L. Wolf winery in the northern Pfalz, which has roots dating back to 1756, the year Mozart was born, the actual Villa Wolf, an Italianate country mansion, was built in 1843. Its situation and terroir are ideal for producing exceptional dry Riesling, with its distinct regional climate and mineral-rich soils in both Wachenheim and the legendary village of Forst. In these villages they have single-vineyard sites capable of Grand Cru quality and wines of the highest level, while practising sustainable and organic farming methods in the vines with traditional winemaking in the cellar giving the wines regional identity, varietal typicity, consistency, and precision.
