Deep in the South of France, where the climate s dry and hot, you need something light, cold, crisp and fizzy: this is a wine made from the region, for the region!

In fact, the name of the Limoux region is synonymous with its sparkling wine, or as they call it Blanquette. Zesty and fresh but with a layering of flavour and texture from the Mauzac grape variety, this is a delicious glass of sunshine. Full of green apple and notes of blossom and minerality, this is excellent food-matching bubbly, pairing perfectly with seafood and aperitifs.

Made by Maison Antech, who have been in the Limoux for over five centuries, the grapes for this wine come from a selection of grapes from hillside slopes and terraces that are chosen for their limestone soils, which gives better aromatic and textural quality to the wine. The key to the family's success has been how they use the vineyards, in particular in relation to their setting. They are influenced by three distinct natural phenomena: the Altantic Ocean, for salty minerality, the Mediterranean for roundness and the Pyrennees for freshness.

A blend of 90% Mauzac (the grape that is the heartbeat of the appellation) with equal parts Chardonnay and Chenin Blanc, it is a truly French, authentic and traditional wine style that has really won our hearts.
