Bodegas Martinez Lacuesta, Vermut Lacuesta, Blanco
Bodegas Martinez Lacuesta, Vermut Lacuesta, Blanco is backordered and will ship as soon as it is back in stock.
From the wonderful, traditional house of Martiez Lacuesta comes this ultra-traditional wine, fortified and aromatised in the same way it has been made since 1937.
A vermouth that is bitter, sweet and aromatic, this white version is smooth and expressive with notes of ginger, cinnamon, sandal-wood and vanilla.
It is aged in American oak barriques for three years and then finished in French oak barrels for extra complexity. The result is a Vermut (to give it its Spanich name) that has a delicious richness, balanced by the acidity of the white wine, making it superb as an aperitif on its own or as a partner in crime for whichever party-piece you desire from your cocktail menu.
We're very partial to it on ice with a slice of lemon and an olive. And a bowl of toasted almonds.
