Vignerons de Valençay, Loire Sauvignon Blanc
Vignerons de Valençay, Loire Sauvignon Blanc is backordered and will ship as soon as it is back in stock.
A really good Loire Valley Sauvignon Blanc is something that the world needs.
This is one of them.
Whenever a Tuesday comes around - or a party, barbecue, wedding, Christening or Communion... this is never far from our thought processes.
It catches-all being fresh, crisp, flavoursome and dry. Mouthwatering flavours of green apple, citrus and grass-fresh herbal notes, it is the quintessential "having a glass" white wine.
This particular version comes from a group of grape growers from across the Loire Valley, but in practice are all about ten kilometres or less from the commune of Valençay, about ninety kilometres east-south-east from the city of Tours, which really makes this a de-classified Touraine Sauvignon Blanc. Its actual categorisationis rather more poetic, being "Vin de Pays du Val de Loire".
It's very good, and excellent value for money.
