Muga, Rioja, Rosado/Rosé
From one of the great houses of Haro, this is a Rosé that is as complex and rewarding as the other wines form this wonderful estate.
Mouthwatering and equally mouth-filling, this is delicious with flavours of citrus peel, peach, apricot and strawberry.
Made from the traditional Rioja grape varieties for both red and white, this is made by fermenting the three grapes in large vats following a five-hour maceration period to gently extract the colour from the skins of the Tempranillo and Garnacha grapes.
The fermentation is then temperature controlled, which maintains the brightness and aromatics of the Viura (which is the white variety) and then, once the fermentation has finished, the wine is rested on its fine lees (the particles created by used up yeasts and grape matter that are suspended in the wine making it cloudy), which extracts more of the richness and texture in the final wine.
So much thought, consideration and high-quality wine making decisions; really, it is a fantastic wine.
