This is a special 6-pack of one of the star Bordeaux wines that we shipped last year. A hum-dinger of value and quality, this is a wine full of blackcurrant and ripe forest fruit flavours that has a lining of spice character and even notes of iron oxide that you'd normally only find in wines far more expensive that this.
Machorre has been on the Allotment wish list for years, but we only got around to getting some last year. The quality of this vintage was not universally high, but these guys nailed it. Plus they kept their prices low, which means that we can too.
The feedback has been brilliant and the "continuous testing" with various food pairings at home have been very fruitful indeed.
