Maison l'Orgeril, Ô de Rosé, Languedoc
Maison l'Orgeril, Ô de Rosé, Languedoc is backordered and will ship as soon as it is back in stock.
A stunning bottle, for sure.
But don't hate me because I'm gorgeous... this is fresh, bright, crisp and dry and a glassful of really tasty red berry and citrus flavours. A balanced and elegant wine, its fruitiness ends with a snappy, clean-as-a-whistle sensaton that makes your mouth water. It's one of those delightful wines that really is a clever balance of red and white wine flavours that sit on top of a really engaging white wine structure.
And the wine is just as gorgeous - promise. In fact, the bottle stopper is lovely too: it's a VinoLock system, which means that there is a 100% glass seal preventing air from entering into the wine. The bead of glass that acts as the stopper is held in place by a polymer ring that is specially engineered to hold it in place in the neck. So there you go!
Made from Grenache, Viognier and Syrah grapes and grown in the north of the Languedoc, the vineyards here face multi-directionally, allowing for great exposure to varying climatic nuances to get a harvest appropriate for a wide range of styles. Looking over the Mediterranean in one direction and the Pyrenees in the other, these grapes ripen according to their potential in site, are harvested by design. It means that this rosé will always be the way that they want it to appear.
Just gorgeous.
