Bright, fresh with apple and citrus-like acidity, this wine is balanced with breadth and texture, intensity and length. One of our favourite white wine regions of recent years and certainly one of the best value options we have come across to date.
Protos built their Rueda winery in 2006, though they had been active there for years before, accruing knowledge of the area and bringing their expertise to this wonderful region.
The altitude available in Rueda offers the vines the coolness that protects acid levels in the grapes and giving the resultant wines the backbone of freshness that makes them such a fantastic food partner.
This wine is gorgeous and full of yellow and green apple, green-gauge and citrus flavours with a crisp, complex and dry palate, making it wonderful with white seafood, sushi, paella, poultry and cheeses.
