For more than twenty years, the high-altitude plot farmed by Javier Bohórquez has yielded fruit to champion his cause. That is, to produce wine from his region in a style that was true to his understanding of the place, rather than to any particular wine critic or their preferences. Javier believed that the soil and climate of the Ribera del Duero was capable of producing elegant, complex, balanced and age-worthy wines (and not the big, in your face, oak monsters which some critics seem to like). 

This six bottle case contains two of each of the following.

1. His Reserva that has proven his cause to be right and, also, really quite compelling. This is a sensuous, silky and delightful wine that you can approach time and time. This really is a far more authentic expression of the Tinta del Pais (Tempranillo) grape and shows the soils and land capable of producing wines that are remarkably and identifiably unique, blending with some Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot to create a stunning and truly memorable wine.
2. His Crianza, a warm, hug-like red that will open your eyes to a better and more refined vision of this wonderful region. Made from select plots of Tempranillo and parcels of old Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot, this is a simply delicious red that Javier sees as an new and alternative view to Ribera.
3. His Rueda is made with parcels of Verdejo grapes grown in the high slopes and plains of Rueda. It's bright, gorgeous and complex Rueda that has texture and depth like you wouldn't believe possible from this grape. Certainly the best Rueda I've had in many years.
